Dr. Vimal Someshwar is the pioneer in the field of Interventional Radiology. Over last 30 years he has been associated with all the well known Hospitals in Mumbai. He has performed interventions in major cities in India and aboard. He has conducted training courses and workshop in India and various countries.
Dr. Someshwar is founder member and Ex President of Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR). He is also member of CIRSE (Europe) and APSCVIR.
Dr. Someshwar is HOD, Department of Radiology and Interventional Radiology. He has performed more than 6000 Interventional procedures in KDAH. He is the primary Investigators to study the Bioresorbable stents for Tibial and Iliac arteries. He has been the pioneer in introducing interventional procedures like Carotid Stenting, Aortic stent grafts, TARE and venous intervention. He is invited as a speaker in various states, national and interventional conferences. He has trained more than 30 Interventional Radiologist. He has students practicing in various countries.
