Biography

During the past 19 years of my practice in treating Retinal diseases I have worked at the well renowned Sankara Nethralaya Chennai for six years followed by another six years at the premier eye hospital Bombay City Eye Institute before joining Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where I have been practising since the past 11 years. During these 11 years at Kokilaben Hospital I have had the opportunity to perform more than 2000 major Vitreo-retinal surgeries, and more than 6000 retinal laser procedures. Positively bringing about a change in people’s life by treating retinal diseases which are potentially sight threatening is what gives me immense satisfaction and is what keeps me going.

My Mantra

Fear is the man's greatest enemies and knowledge is power, my practice mantra revolves around addressing these two. I strive hard to maintain that at all times my patient care involves alleviating patient’s fears and imparting knowledge about the disease condition, and of course finally the treatment which I believe should be of the highest standards.
