Biography

An All India rank (AIR) of 10 in NEET superspeciality 2020 gave me a wonderful opportunity to train and gain valuable work experience at the renowned ‘Department of surgical gastroenterology and the Centre for Hepatobiliary diseases and transplantation’ at SGPGIMS, Lucknow; one of the top centres in the country for superspeciality training. Here I had extensive exposure in performing a wide range of gastroesophageal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and colorectal surgeries – Open, Laparoscopic and Robotic ; GI and HPB oncosurgery; and Bariatric surgeries.

After working for 4 years in the department of surgical gastroenterology at SGPGI- Lucknow, I pursued my fellowship in Liver transplant & HPB Surgery from Mumbai as part of the team performing the largest number of liver transplants in western India. In the year with the team, I had exposure to more 100+ liver transplants, including both cadaver and living donor liver transplants and multiple hepatic and pancreatic resective surgeries.

Over the past 2 years, I have been working as an Associate Consultant in the department of HPB surgery and liver transplant at KDAH, Mumbai- performing complex hepatobiliary - pancreatic surgeries, &transplants, including more than 100 living + cadaveric liver transplant, ABO incompatible liver transplants, pediatric liver transplants, emergency liver transplant for acute liver failure, pancreas transplant, extended liver resections/hepatectomies, pancreatoduodenectomies with and without complexbiliary and vascular reconstructions.
