Biography

I have achieved my training in Obstetrics and Gynecology ( M.S.) from B.J . Medical College , Pune, one of the largest tertiary referral centers in Western Maharashtra, with an extensive experience in managing high risk obstetric cases, and expertise in Non descent Vaginal hysterectomies. Post M.S. I have pursued a clinical research fellowship from Columbia University, New York, in Gynec. Oncology .I have worked as a Consultant with the renowned Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Pune, again a major tertiary referral center. I have also worked in the capacity of a full time consultant and Head of the Department, at the Brahmakumari’s BSES hospital in Andheri , where I have served the private as well as the General class patients . At Kokilaben Hospital, with a state of the art Maternal and Child wing, and a 24x7 ICU , NICU , and blood bank backup, I have successfully performed many life saving surgeries for extremely high risk mothers and succeeded in averting many near miss mortality cases, with the mother and baby going back home in good health.

She has experience of managing all cases of Gynec. Oncology, minimally invasive techniques including robotic gynecologic surgery, has also done extensive research in this field.

Experience with a large number of High risk obstetric cases , including Severe Preeclampsia, Eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, DIC, Post partum hemorrhage, Liver Cirrhosis in pregnancy, Thrombocytopenia in pregnancy etc. with successful and timely intervention enabling us to avert many Near Miss mortalities.
