Biography

I always wanted to be a doctor, to help people and find a cure for cancer. Over the past 25 years in the medical field, I have worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. I worked in some of the premier institutes of HPB surgery all over the world, gathering experience and knowledge to give my patients, the best possible care in accordance with latest advances and innovations in the treatment of liver cirrhosis and cancers of the liver, pancreas and biliary system, especially the use of Robotic surgery, which offers the advantages of smaller cuts, less pain, faster recovery and better cosmesis. I firmly believe there are no shortcuts to good health. Healthy living habits and healthy mind is the only way to prevent diseases. It is my mission to provide my patients with a holistic approach towards prevention and treatment of diseases. I also strive to listen to my patients, communicate effectively and treat them with empathy, kindness and compassion.

Dr. Motwani has a vast experience of over 15 years working in the Field of HPB and Liver Transplant surgery in premier institutes in Mumbai, New Delhi and Birmingham. After finishing her training in ILBS and Max Hospital, New Delhi and in University Hospitals Birmingham, she joined Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital as a Consultant in HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant and has been a part of the team here since the past 6 years. She has under her belt, the experience of more than 1000 liver transplant surgeries as well as a wide array of other Liver, Pancreatic and Biliary surgeries. She is a member of the International association of HPB surgeons and the Association of Robotic Surgeons of India.

KDAH Experience

Dr. Motwani has been a part of the HPB and Liver transplant surgery team in KDAH since the last 6 years. During this time, she has treated patients with Fatty liver, NASH, Liver cancers, Benign Liver tumours, Liver Cirrhosis, Acute Liver Failure and liver infections with medical and surgical management, including Robotic surgery. She has treated patients with pancreatic diseases like pancreatic infections, cysts, stones, acute and chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancers. She has also managed patients with Gallstones and Gallbladder cancers.
