Dr Alka pursued her graduation and Post-graduation from B. J. Medical College, Pune.

She has worked as Anaesthetist at various organizations across Mumbai and Pune Nationally and London Internationally. Later she was associated with various reputable institutes across Mumbai as Consultant Cardiac Anesthetist. She was initially Member of Executive Council of IACTA and later joined as Member, Editorial Board Annals of Cardiac Anaesthesia since 1998 to 2012.

Meanwhile she was also appointed as CEO of Dr. Mandke's Memorial Cardiovascular Services Centre-2005 and Director & Trustee of Mandke Foundation and Malti Vasant Heart Trust since May 2005 till date

She has also been a part of Academic section imparting knowledge to graduation and Post-graduation students. She has been actively involved in Lectures, Panel Discussions, Workshops, Educational programmes and Presentations. She has been part of various National & International Conferences.

KDAH Experience

She has been part of Kokilaben Hospital- Unit of Mandke Foundation Since January 2009. She is Honorary Head of Anesthesia Department & Consultant Cardiac Anesthetist at Kokilaben Hospital.

• Dr. Mandke has over 40 lectures on various topics including fast tracking and use of Desflurane in Cardiac Anaesthesia among others in India, Syria, Malaysia.
• Participated as Panelist or Moderator  in 13 conferences in Cardiac Anaesthesia in India.
• Participated as Chairperson in over 25 conferences in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
• Participated over 80 Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Anaesthesia conferences including overseas conferences (Russia, USA, Japan, Belgium, Oman, Hongkong, Syria, Australia, Malaysia, Australia, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Spain, Italy, Indonesia, Taiwan) in 17 countries.
• Conducted 10 National and International Workshops in Cardiac Anaesthesia in Muscat, Syria, Darussalam.
• Over 40 papers presented in National and International Conferences
• 16 Dr. Nitu Mandke Orations yearly arranged at Nitu Mandke Convention Centre, KDAH

Social Contributions

Dr. Alka Mandke has written a book on life of her late husband ‘HRIDHAYASTH’ in 2004. It is translated in English, Hindi & Gujarathi on public demand.

She is now involved in  social work through about 50 different NGOs and  is member of  advisory board of  NGO Federation formed in 2018 at Pune, personally visited over 50 NGOs and helped. Chairperson of  large NGO Keshavsrushti  (RSS) at  Uttan – Bhayander, Mumbai -   an organization having day and residential International School, Krishividyalay and Krishisanshodhan Sanstha, Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, Gaushala, Vanaushadhi Kendra and Vanprasthashram.
