I first met Dr Gajjar at Kokilaben Hospital when I had come to take an opinion for my hip labral tear. He suggested me hip arthroscopy surgery as I told him that rest and physiotherapy did not help. When I asked him what is the success rate of the surgery, he confidently said 100% . I was amazed at his confidence and immediately opted for surgery.
My surgery was flawless, i had no pain after surgery. I was told to be on crutches for 4 weeks (non weight bearing) and leave crutches gradually. By the end of 6 weeks i had no crutches. And amazingly when i started walking i had no preoperative pain at all. It took me time (around 5 months) to feel completely normal as I had lost lot of strength in the leg as I delayed surgery for 6 months. But i had no pain after surgery, it was only strengthening that was required. I met him periodically and my physiotherapy program was also decided by him.
Dr Gajjar is extremely polite, great human being and he is an expert for hip arthroscopy. I will recommend him without any doubt. He has given me a new life and I have regained my confidence. BTW, with regard to my physical activity like running and gym after surgery, doc had put no limitations for me or things to avoid , but only suggested warm up before performing physical activity. Thank you Dr, Gajjar for everything. I really hope one day i can do something for you :)
For the readers, I would also say please don’t go to doctors who don’t perform arthroscopic hip surgeries if you are suffering from hip related problems. Doctors will never admit that they don’t know how to do hip arthroscopy surgery, but misguide you by saying try rest and physiotherapy. Hip labral tears don’t heal on their own. All the best and go for surgery with Dr Gajjar, it is a very simple and easy thing to go through.
