Ms. Swaroop Shetty (mummy) was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital under Dr. Vatsal Kothari (Dr. VMK) with a Subdural Arachnoid Haemorrhage and a dangerous wide necked aneurysm. She was very critical and at a very high risk of mortality with only 2% chances of survival.
Doctor VMK’s command and expertise in critical care are legendary. He was our only ray of hope. His professionalism combined with empathy helped us come to terms with the situation and deal with the pressure. Mummy underwent endovascular coiling procedures and chemical angioplasties over & above several critical care procedures under Dr. VMK’s guidance.
The never say die attitude, sheer grit, determination, commitment and unrelenting hard work that Dr. VMK & his team of competent intensivists exhibited saw mummy beat insurmountable odds. Not only did Mummy survive but today she leads a fully productive life.
The contribution of Dr. Manish Shrivastava (Interventional Neuroradiology) and Dr. Abhishek Srivastav (Neuro rehabilitation ) is also pivotal in this rarest of rare miraculous recovery.
My family is forever indebted to the amazing Dr. VMK & the KDAH team, who save lives and families every day .
