Description
Adheres to departmental policies, protocols and procedures along with maintain the objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Evaluation of speech and language, swallow assessment, dye test, modified barium swallow assessment, cognitive-linguistic evaluation.
Evaluating the hearing and speech language test results and medical background information to diagnose and plan for speech, language, fluency, voice and swallowing disorders.
To asses swallowing dysfunction in neurological and cancer patients by using bedside assessments and modified barium swallow.
Educating and instructing patients’ family / appropriate personnel regarding the communication disorder to facilitate recovery.
Uses equipment like vitalstim to improve dysphagia.
Interfacing regularly with other members of the rehabilitation team and medical staff on the patients’ treatment plan, progress and prognosis.
Developing appropriate home and community programs to maintain and enhance the performance of the patient’s environment.
Diagnosis, intervention and management of children with behavioral and neurological speech disorder.
Conducting diagnostic evaluations, including client / parent interviews, collection and analysis of spontaneous speech and language samples, standardized testing and oral motor exams.
To be compassionate while managing unconscious patients and people with disability.
Participates in educational programs and get involved in Clinical research, to evaluate outcome and present or publish in national / international meetings or journals.
To be part of the Quality Improvement Initiative and protocols of the organization.
