To operate electromyography equipment to test the electrical activity of muscle disease or denervation to determine the conduction of velocity and latency times of peripheral motor and sensory nerves and to assist physicians in performing the more advanced electromyography techniques utilized in specific neurological diseases. To confer with patients to obtain information concerning medical history and to explain procedures, allay fears and elicit cooperation; review and analyze patient history to determine with physician proper procedures for test modality to be used. To assist in scheduling patients for EMG testing, to perform SSEP monitoring in the OT. To prepare patients for electromyography procedure; apply electrodes to proper position on body and adjust as required Perform routine and complex EEG procedures to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinic disorders of the nervous system. To get the tracings reported by Neurologist. To assist with scheduling patients for EEG. Assisting in EEG monitoring in the OT, Conducting EEG’s in ICU, ICCU & PICU.
